Falmouth’s new Co-op store on Cliff Road will be opening tomorrow morning with a special ribbon cutting from the Mayor Steve Eva.

An exclusive first look at the new Falmouth Co-op.
The new store opposite Gyllyngvase Beach will be open from 7am tomorrow morning (15th).
An official unveiling will then take place at 10am with Falmouth Mayor Steve Eva cutting the ribbon.
Co-op's new store will run on 100% renewable electricity. It'll be open 7am-11pm daily and will include its Fairtrade coffee dispenser - known as Everground; a free ATM; hot food; bakery and ice creams, alongside a focus on fresh, healthy products; meal ideas; everyday essentials; food-to-go; chilled beers and award-winning wines; ready meals and pizzas and, free-from; vegan and plant-based products – including Co-op's exclusive vegan range, GRO.
A unit is also available to enable the community to recycle 'soft plastics' - including: crisp packets, bread bags, lids from ready meals and yoghurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches. Racks are outside the store for shoppers who cycle and, compostable carrier bags are also available for those who forget their reusable bags.
Students in Falmouth who are TOTUM cardholders – the new name for NUS extra – also receive a 10% discount at the Co-op.
The store is also creating 30 local jobs.
Ahead of the opening, Co-op store manager Glynn Wilkinson told Nub News: "We have a free ATM, tea/coffee making facilities, a hot food section, and our premium range. Amazon will kick in soon.
"I'm looking forward to being open. The store is in a great setting, and we hope people will like it. It's the newest Co-op store we've got."
