Falmouth covid-19 news: Council reveal further cases drop in weekly update

Cornwall Council has revealed a decrease in covid cases as they urged people to continue to follow the lockdown rules.

In the latest update, Cornwall Council said there was a 30% decrease in cases in Cornwall from last week.

There were also 184 new cases in Cornwall over the last seven days, 50 patients in hospital, and 449 deaths in Cornwall since the pandemic began.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said:

"All your hard work's paying off. Covid cases are continuing to fall in Cornwall, but we mustn't let our guard down.

"The end of lockdown is in sight, but we need to stay the course so that restrictions can be lifted as planned.

"Keep on following the rules and stay home for now."
