Community groups and projects in the Falmouth area have until Sunday 12 June to apply for the Co-op Local Community Fund (LCF).

The deadline was originally 29 May but has been extended. The LCF provides local causes nominated by the community with an extra funding boost. Click here to find out more and apply.

The most recent local causes in Falmouth to benefit from the fund were The Dracaena Centre, Love Falmouth, and Carnon Carers. The three groups shared £6,000 between them that went towards continuing their vital work within the community.

Since 2016 Co-op Members have raised more than £85m for over 30,000 projects.

Falmouth causes will be part of the Local Community Fund for 12 months from 23 October 2022 to 21 October 2023. Funds will be distributed in November 2023.

The more members that shop with Co-op, the more money your project will receive. When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes into their Co-op Membership account and Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes.

Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes. See www.coop.co.uk/membership

Click here to apply to the LCF – the deadline is midnight on Sunday 12 June.
