In an interview with Nub News, Falmouth Rugby Club chairman John Bullock provided an update on the things going on at the club.

One of the biggest and most talked about matters was the condition of the car park, which had taken a hit from the club being used as the base for covid testing.

Following discussions with Cornwall Council, an agreement was put in place to resurface the car park.

"It is not going to be the perfect surface but it is going to be much improved from what it currently is," John told Nub News.

Switching attentions to the fast approaching G7, John Bullock revealed the club will be used as one of the bases for the summit.

He continued:

"They will be using the clubhouse for their welfare facilities and they will be erecting 40 accommodation modules on the recreation ground for their people. This will be from the 1st-18th June, we will be supporting the G7 and we will make a little money out of that and it will help pay for rugby next season."

John confirmed that plans for the upcoming season are well underway and the club will be back in the Western Counties. The seconds will be back in the Duchy League in September, full contact.

There will also be some top standard training from Exeter Chiefs coaches who will be coming down to train the academy in July. The Cornish Pirates will also be visiting the rugby club for a schools day.

"The future is looking bright, the future is black and white," John added.
