A bingo night hosted by Falmouth Football Club raised more than £350 for the children's charity Barnardo's.

The fundraiser, held in November, was organised by Co-op store manager Simon Berryman and Co-op Member Pioneer Lesley Perkins, together with Nyree and Jane from Falmouth FC, local residents who co-ordinate the club's events and entertainment.

The evening succeeded in raising over £350 for Barnardo's, one of the Co-op's national charity partners, thanks to those who turned out and gave donations for Children in Need and Barnardo's.

Co-op Member Pioneer Lesley Perkins said: "It was an amazing effort by the local community and the Boslowick Co-op Store, made possible by Nyree and Jane from Falmouth FC."

"We appreciated everyone coming out despite the miserable weather!"

Boslowick Co-op provided gifts as prizes, including donations that customers had given over the year. People paid £10 and bought bingo cards and the winner received £40.
