Two Falmouth causes supported by the Co-op and its members have received a big funding boost this month.

The Dracaena Centre was presented with £3,735 and RNLI Falmouth received £3,920. The Co-op donated a total of £7,655 from its Local Community Fund.

Store manager of Falmouth's Clipper Way Co-op, Simon Berryman, said: "Both causes were over the moon with the totals they received.

"Our two new local causes that we will be supporting are Love Falmouth and Falmouth Community Youth Football Club."

You can help raise funds for them just by shopping and becoming a Co-op member. It only costs £1.

Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes. See www.coop.co.uk/membership.

When Co-op members buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 spent goes into their Co-op Membership account from which they nominate one of the chosen charities. The Co-op will also give the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.

Since 2016 Co-op members have helped raise more than £117 million which has been used to directly support around seven million people across the UK.
