A Falmouth primary school has received a welcome funding boost from the Co-op's Local Community Fund.

The chair of the PTA at King Charles C of E School, Falmouth, was presented with a cheque for £200 by Clipper Way Co-op store manager Simon Berryman and Cliff Road Co-op store manager Glynn Wilkinson.

Elizabeth Watson, chair of King Charles C of E School PTA, said: "Thanks to Simon, Glynn and the whole of the Co-op team!"

The money is going to be used for the school's Summer Fayre.

The school is one of three local causes to receive funding from the Co-op this year.

The Dracaena Centre was presented with £3,735 and RNLI Falmouth received £3,920.

The two new local causes that Co-op will be supporting over the coming months are Love Falmouth and Falmouth Community Youth Football Club.

You can help raise funds for them just by shopping and becoming a Co-op member. It only costs £1.
