Penryn Girls Rugby Club has received an early Christmas present, thanks to the Co-op and its members.
Simon Berrryman, store manager of Clipper Way Co-op, presented the club with a cheque for £200 from the Co-op's Local Community Fund.
The money will be used to help buy warm training tops for the cold weather. Clipper Way and Cliff Road Co-op stores donated £100 each.
The club welcomes all girls in Years 7 to 11. Qualified coaches and experienced women's team players give all girls lacing boots quality training that will benefit them, whatever their level of confidence and experience.
Penryn Girls Rugby Club is the fourth local cause to receive extra funding from the Co-op this year.
The Dracaena Centre was presented with £3,735, RNLI Falmouth received £3,920 and a cheque for £200 was donated to King Charles C of E School PTA from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
The two new local causes that the Co-op will be supporting over the next year are Love Falmouth and Falmouth Community Youth Football Club.
You can help raise funds for them just by shopping and becoming a Co-op member. It only costs £1.
