Falmouth RFC Fixtures Released

Falmouth RFC will open the league season with a home fixture against Tiverton, as the full Tribute Western Counties West fixture list has been revealed.

The season kicks off on the 7th September. In their first five games, Falmouth will face, Tiverton, Wadebridge Camels away (14th), Wellington at home (21st), an away trip to Bideford (28th) and Chard at home (5th October).

The big game that Falmouth would have been looking out for, was the date for the match against Penryn. The hotly anticipated fixture will be played on the 16th November, The Eagles will play host at The Recreation Ground.

The return fixture is on the 7th March, Penryn will play host to The Eagles.

The Christmas run-in is always an important time in the season, on the 7th December, Falmouth will face a tough fixture against St Austell, who finished third last year in the Tribute Western Counties West. It is expected St Austell will be challenging for the title this time around.

An away trip to newcomers and Devon based side Teignmouth on the 14th. Then rounding off the Christmas fixtures with a home match against Wadebridge.

Aside from the league matches, the annual Boxing Day game against Penryn is always one to look out for. The last match Boxing Day match was a draw between the two sides, a passionate match that involved a red card for each side.

Falmouth will close the season with an away trip to St Austell on the 28th March. A home match against Teignmouth on the 4th of April, and a small break before a return match against Tiverton on the 18th.

The Eagles finished seventh last year and will be hoping to push for a higher league finish this term.
