Falmouth Town to face Truro City in preseason fixture

Today, Truro Citys season warm-up matches were announced via their Twitter page.

New White Tigers manager Paul Wilkinson, joined in March on a caretaker basis but has taken the full-time position at the club.

Wilkinson will be using the games to prepare his side for a fresh start after their relegation last year, and the matches come thick and fast for the team.

The two friendly matches that will kick off preseason are against League Two opposition Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle, Exeter making the short trip to Treyew Road on July 5th, kick-off 7pm. Plymouth will visit Treyew Road a few days after, July 9th, kick off at 7:30pm.

Truro then travel away to AFC Bideford on July 20th, The Sports Ground, kick off at 3pm.

Closer to home, a friendly against local rivals Falmouth Town has been arranged for July 23rd, kick off 7:30pm at Treyew. Truro suffered a shock defeat against Falmouth last year, Falmouth will be hoping to retain the annual Aubrey Wilkes Trophy.

July 26th, another away trip awaits Truro as they visit Buckland Athletic, who play in the Toolstation Western Premier Division. The venue is Homers Heath, kick off at 7:30pm.

Truro then face St Blazey on July 29th, Blaise Park, kick off at 7:30pm.

The fixtures are rounded off with a home match against Helston Athletic on August 2nd. The full fixture list for the season is expected to be released soon.
