County Tournament Success for Penryn College Netball Team
Penryn College's Year 11 Netball players made it two county titles within one week for the school's sports teams following their U16 County Tournament triumph earlier this month.
The squad's one-day tournament victory followed in the footsteps of Penryn College's Year 8 Rugby team, who lifted the U13 County Cup trophy just four days earlier.
Indeed, competing on home soil, Penryn's netball stars topped their opening group and qualified for the finals, where they defeated St Ives School and Truro School to win the competition.
Speaking following the tournament, Penryn College PE Teacher, Hope Lushington, said: "A massive well done to the squad, and a big thank you to all competing schools for taking part in the competition, as well as the umpires, event organisers, and PE departments."
The tournament victory means that Penryn will travel to Bournemouth in January to take part in the U16 Regional Tournament
