Supper Club Fundraiser for Turkish/Syrian Earthquake relief - Saturday 11th March

Dill's Falmouth an independent cafe and local food store will be hosting a fundraising night to raise money for Molham Team, a nonprofit organisation who are running campaigns in aid of the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake.

The Supper Club has been created and organised by Moso Cornwall and its founder Georgia Cadoret, a writer that focuses on food.

Dill's Falmouth and Moso Cornwall are hopeful the night will bring great conversation, lots of laughter, and tasty food, while in a relaxed setting that has hosted intimate suppers, music events, and creative workshops.

Georgia uses food as a medium of storytelling and will try to encourage conversation around the dishes, like how food sourced from the natural world can teach us about the environment.

The Supper Club will take place on Saturday the 11th of march from 19:30 pm, tickets will cost £35 but the money will be used to cover the running of the event while also raising around £400 for the cause.

Christian Garrick and John Etheridge - Saturday 11th March

Fancy some live music at The Tolmen Centre?

The world-class duo of Christian Garrick (violin) and John Etheridge (guitar) provides a feast of interplay, improvisation, and an eclectic repertoire ranging from Peter Gabriel to Richard Rogers via Dollar Brand and Alison Goldfrapp. Both musicians have played at the Tolmen before, but this is the first time we have had the rare treat of seeing them play together.

This free-wheeling pair make extensive use of looping and other effects, creating exotic tapestries of sound, almost orchestral at times, yet they can switch seamlessly to a pure acoustic sound with rollicking renditions of Hot Club swing evoking the spirit of Reinhardt and Grappelli as they do.  Atmospheric, hypnotic, humorous, and entertaining.  They can roar, seduce and whisper…

Run Falmouth half marathon for Cornwall Hospice Care - Sunday 12th March

On Sunday the 11th Run Falmouth half marathon will take place, raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care, a charity that helps those coping with a terminal illness.

The race is arranged and managed by Cornwall Hospice Care in collaboration with the Falmouth Road Runners, they said in previous years that the money raised has made a huge difference in keeping beds open and nurses caring.

This year the race is being supported by the Princess Pavilion, they have donated the space as a start, finish, and general event space. This means there has been a slight adjustment to the route which will now begin on Cliff Road.
