Benow 2023: Film festival with panel discussion and Q+A - Saturday 4th March
The Benow 2023 festival will take place from the 4th to the 8th of march. The event will be held at the Falmouth Art Gallery from 18:30 – 21:00, tickets are completely free.
Benow is an annual festival of events, ideas, art, community, and activism to explore and celebrate the culture of women. All welcome. We believe in the importance of conversations and connections, as a means to promote change and improve people's life.
A short film festival showcasing three films that explore our relationship with nature, the environment, and climate change from the perspective of women. There will be a panel discussion and audience Q+A at the end with some of the films, directors, and producers. Refreshments will be provided.

The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys - Queen Tribute - Saturday 4th March
The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys bring the sound and passion of Queen, live at the Princess Pavilion. Made up of five young talented musicians, this fully live band brings their own interpretation to Queen's signature sound.
The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys perform highlights from some of Queens legendary concerts, including Live at The Rainbow, Wembley 86, and their now-fabled Live Aid performance in full.
Faithfully recreating the music and the magic, a fantastic family show not to be missed!

Pendennis Brass Open Rehearsal - Sunday 5th Mar 2023
On Sunday the 5th of March you can celebrate St Pirans Day with the Pendennis Brass Falmouth band, they will be holding an open rehearsal at the Mawnan Memorial Hall as they prepare for the upcoming regional brass band championships in Torquay.
The band posted on social media hoping to see as many faces as possible to celebrate, Pendennis Brass said: "Join us for a special 'open rehearsal' style concert that promises to be a truly unique experience. You'll have the opportunity to see our talented musicians in action as they fine-tune their skills and perfect their performances for the big day.
"We will be showcasing a short programme of Cornish music in addition to performing and rehearsing our set work, Chorale and Toccata by Stephen Bulla. This is your chance to see how we make the magic happen and help us steady our nerves ahead of the final performance. We've already been rehearsing tirelessly and are keen as mustard to share our progress with you.
Doors will open at the hall from 5:30 pm with a 6:00 pm start, there is no cost but donations are welcome.
