On the 31st of March 2023, Cornwall Council's transfer of Pendennis Headland to Falmouth Town Council will be completed, the Town Council and the Pendennis Leisure team have been working hard to prepare for the future.

Back in January the community group that has been a key part of getting the area handed over announced they would be looking for volunteers to help them as a way of keeping more of the budget available to spend on the actual pool.

The leisure team selected a number of key roles that could help them which you can find here: Pendennis Headland: How you can get involved.

Very soon they will be needing just some of these volunteers to help make the Ships & Castles building/site ready for opening (upstairs and grounds).

At this time they need specific help with cleaning, painting, and outside grounds maintenance.

If you can help with these please leave your details on this short form: https://forms.gle/gNW6gNnRwd6k5JMc7 you can also contact: hello@pendennisleisure.org or 07812 167540

Falmouth Town Council has also been looking at ways to move the project forward, they have been busy up at Pendennis Point making safety improvements like fixing broken old railings.

Don't forget that on the 21st of March the second community meeting for the Ships and Castles site will take place at Falmouth Rugby Club.

The first meeting had a great turnout and the rugby club will have the bar open while Discussing the re-opening of some of the site as a Community hub/ facility.
