A woman remains in hospital after a crash gridlocked roads last night.

Police were called at 4:30pm on Tuesday to Union Road, Falmouth following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

A police spokesperson said:

"A woman in her 80s was taken to Treliske Hospital with serious injuries. She remains there at this time.

"The other driver is not reported to have sustained any injuries.

"The road was closed whilst emergency services attended and was reopened shortly after 8pm."
