Fire service called to commercial premises in Penryn last night
Yesterday evening the fire service was called to Kernow Coatings, Penryn, after reports of a fire.
A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service said:
"Critical Control received a 999 call reporting a fire at a commercial premises.
"Two appliances from Falmouth Community Fire Station and a Wholetime Officer were mobilised.
"On arrival, crews reported that smoke was issuing from extractor fans.
"The cause was identified as a faulty boiler."
Posts were circulating on social media about a fire at the property, one comment read:
"Smoke coming from the roof. We thought it was a steam chimney at first but getting worse apparently - that's the file room upstairs"
