Two more businesses in the local area have closed over covid concerns, it was announced today (15th).
Hooked on the Rocks based at Swanpool, and The Cornish Bank, Church Street have temporarily closed as covid fears grow in the area.
Announcing the news on social media, Hooked on the Rocks said that a staff member had been contacted by Track and Trace, a spokesperson added:
"Due to our organisation working in such close proximity, we feel it is safer to close until all our team has received the information to open safely for first & foremost our staff & amazing customers."
The Cornish Bank, which opened as a new business in May at the old One Stop Shop, will now be closed until the 3rd of July.
In a statement, The Cornish Bank said:
"All staff are tested before the start of a shift to ensure safety, however this week whilst closed, a member of staff has tested positive.
"With a high prevalence around town and so many other businesses closing we have decided to take the difficult precautionary decision to close."
In a Town Manager's report at last nights Falmouth Town Council meeting, Richard Gates urged everyone to be "extra vigilant", he said:
"Covid is affecting several businesses with their staff. All are in contact with Cornwall Council and Public Health and following the guidelines and requirements."
