The Grapes Alehouse and Kitchen gets ready for a final party.

Grapes Alehouse and Kitchen has announced that the family running the popular bar in Falmouth would be leaving at the end of the month.

Tina, Keith, and Tobin Webb shared a message on social media, saying: "We are sad to announce that after over a decade at the helm, our family will be calling time on our stewardship of the Grapes at the end of this month, It will stand to be an unforgettable time of our lives and a real honour to have been able to carve out our own chapter in the history of an establishment at the heart of Falmouth's town centre, maritime and harbourside communities and one which is steeped in so much history over hundreds of years."

Speaking to Tobin he said that it was the right time to step away having achieved what they wanted to although they would of be happy to stay, "We had hoped to stay a little longer but negotiations around the rent were not successful and with the phenomenal and spiraling increase in costs across this year, it became clear the business model here no longer works for us looking forwards."

It was clearly a sad time for the team but they wanted to have one more night of partying to make it a real send-off: "To all our friends old and new, we hope that you might be able to join us this coming weekend as we host a celebration with live music and entertainment this Saturday night. We've been so lucky to make so many friends along the way and in particular, we want to pay tribute to the many brilliant people who have come to work at the Grapes and joined this journey with us (some for 8 or 9 of those years) you're like family to us and we will miss our times at the pub dearly."

The Grapes Spooktackular Send-off Party will kick off at 8pm and finish at 2:30am, there will be an offering of live music with the band DUCKS as well as two DJs to keep the party going. Grapes are offering free entry as well as some amazing drinks deals to see off their stock and it certainly sounds like they mean it, adding: "Help us drink the bar dry and raise one last glass together before we leave - we look forward seeing all our friends and locals old and new."
