Penryn College has been named as a Music Mark School for the second consecutive year, in recognition of its commitment to providing high-quality music education for all children and young people.

Music Mark is a membership organisation, subject association, and charity, that advocates for excellent music education. Its nomination system allows music hubs and services across the UK to nominate schools that they believe have shown a commitment to providing high-quality music education.

Penryn College received its nomination from ASONE Perform, a local community interest company working to support the music education of young people in Cornwall.

Reflecting on the news, Penryn College's Head of Music, Alice Allen, said: "Once again, we are thrilled to have been recognised for our contribution to music, a huge thank you to ASONE Perform for the nomination, and to Music Mark for rewarding us."

As part of becoming a Music Mark School, Penryn College receives a range of benefits, including access to an extensive library of member-only resources, invites to member-only events and training, and much more.

"We are excited to continue developing opportunities for music making in our school community with this fantastic support," Miss Allen concluded.
