The Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team have uploaded a warning on Instagram that there is a 'danger to life' close to the Falmouth coastline.

Large waves and debris from the sea have a large chance of causing significant injury to people who get too close.

The post reads:

"#StormDennis is bringing strong and heavy this weekend.

"Avoid coastal paths, promenades, piers, cliff edges, harbour walls or going in the water!

"Don't take risks: Waves are unpredictable - it only takes 15cm of water to knock you off your feet.

"No is worth your life.

"#RespectTheWater - not everyone can be saved."
