Delays are expected in Penryn this week as resurfacing work gets underway.

The road between Treliever Cross and Penryn will be closed today (26th) until Friday (30th).

A diversion will also be in action.

The notice by Cornwall Council reads:

"The Council is satisfied that the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out works to resurface the carriageway.

"The order will come into operation on 26th October 2020 and the works are expected to be completed by the 30th October 2020. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1600 on a daily basis weekdays only.

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer."
