Falmouth residents have voiced their concerns after brown waste was pictured running into the sea at Swanpool Beach.

Walking in the area this afternoon a resident noticed "rubbish" being left to run into the sea at Swanpool reportedly from the houses that are being built further up the hill.

The issue has been forwarded to Environmental Health, with a response stating a local officer was going to take a sample.

This isn't the first time this has caused concerns with Linden Homes and South West Water responding to reports of water runoff in December 2019.

In a statement from 2019, a spokesperson from South West Water told Nub News:

"This relates to the development's highways drainage, not South West Water's network."

Cornwall Council Environmental Protection will be approached for further comment.
