A popular Falmouth club and bar reopened on Friday to an excited crowd.

Mangos, situated on Church Street, flung open their doors for the first time since closing down back in March.

Under brand new rules, the club has swapped out its dance floor for more seating, placing one-meter distanced tables to fill the Falmouth socially distanced club-goers.

"It felt amazing to be reopened, we have missed our customers," Owner of Mangos Geoff King told Nub News.

"We were very happy that the majority of customers followed the rules that we have had to impose."

As usual with Mangos, a queue formed outside the club on both Friday and Saturday from around 11pm, staying there until 1.30am.

Mike Sharpe, Manager of Mangos, told Nub News: "When the queue formed we were informing people they may have to wait a while as we were at capacity but we were doing our best to get everyone in."

The club filled its capacity by 11pm both Friday and Saturday.

Mangos is actively encouraging those that want to visit to get there early to avoid queuing.

Two large challenges were faced by the club this weekend, owner Geoff details:

"The first was still providing somewhere fun to enjoy themselves in while observing social distancing guidelines and second making sure if crowds turned up outside that they were behaved and moved on if asked.

"I think in both circumstances we achieved what we wanted to."

The club will now be opening on Wednesday through to Saturday, 8pm-3am.
