A Falmouth seaside eatery has been named one of the best seafood restaurants in the UK.

Hooked on the Rocks, situated overlooking Swanpool Beach, was rated 16th in a list by The Times over the weekend.

Andy Lynes, food journalist and author, wrote:

"Demand for the reservation-only tables at this restaurant on the south Cornish coast, with views over Swanpool Beach, has been so high that it is open seven days a week.

"Inside there's a full à la carte menu, including dishes such as Falmouth Bay scallops with seaweed butter and toasted hazelnuts.

"Or you can order from the 'to go' menu and eat St Ives Bay mackerel with Cornish tomatoes, basil and herb yoghurt from a picnic box on the terrace."

George Morgan, head chef at Hooked on the Rocks, told Nub News:

"My self and the rest of the team are absolutely delighted to be rated number 16 in the UK. There are some big hitters in this country and incredible talents who also have beautiful locations.

"So to make this list on a national platform makes it all the more special. We have the most amazing customers and the incredible team that make every day a joy. I can't thank them enough.

"We are a family and will all enjoy this wonderful feature together."
