Police were on the roads yesterday (12th) in Falmouth and Penryn carrying out traffic checks and doing speed detection work.

A vehicle was seized near The Dracaena Centre with no insurance, Alliance Roads Policing revealed the details on social media saying:

"The 4th uninsured vehicle for our car today, no excuse, no insurance no car."

The team also seized a vehicle in Penryn on a "quick pop to the shops" in the car park of Asda, the car had no insurance or road tax.

Following some complaints from the public, the police also did some speed detection work in Falmouth and Penryn with the Alliance Roads Policing saying that everyone was "behaving."

In recent weeks the police have been increasing the number of random traffic checks with officers in Falmouth stopping over 100 vehicles just a few weeks ago, you can read that report here.
