Scammers pretending to be from Penryn Plastics have reportedly targeted elderly residents.

Penryn Plastics based on Kernick Industrial Estate received reports of "workers" approaching an elderly neighbour asking for a large amount of cash for work on their house.

"This was most definitely not us," Penryn Plastics posted on social media.

They added:

"They were asking for £600 cash to re-do the fascias on their house. Penryn Plastics do not cold call. We only come out to provide a quote when we are invited to do so and all of our quotes will be in writing. Please warn people to be vigilant."

Cornwall Trading Standards shared the social media post, adding:

"Please notice this warning from our Buy with Confidence member Penryn Plastics who have been Trading Standards Approved since July 2016."
