A new live music venue is set to be opening in Falmouth.

The venue will be situated in the Old Brewery Yard.

The Chintz Symposium have confirmed that they will be opening a new venture in the old Hand Bar premises, which closed down at the beginning of the year.

Chintz manager, Kia-Vanna Harrison, told Nub News:

"As the years have passed the live music events have become very popular and sometimes people may say a little crowded.

"But say no more, no more taking tables away on the weekend, no more shoving chairs in peoples faces as we scramble to the exits.

"There's a lot of work that needs doing before we are open but I can say expect the unexpected.

"There are whispers of the bar being open by May so as the summer arrives the courtyard will be transformed into a colourful wonderland of music, food and arts."

The venue aims to keep the same license that Hand Bar had, making it one of just a handful of places in Falmouth that have a late license all week round.
