Mawnan Bowling Club to hold 12-hour Bowlathon for Children's Hospice

Mawnan Bowling Club will be running a 12-hour Bowlathon to raise funds for St. Austell's Little Harbour, Cornwall's only Children's Hospice.

The outdoor bowling marathon kick-starts the club's Open Day when two team-mates plan to play constantly over 12 hours on Saturday 13 May, beginning at 8 am and ending at 8 pm on one of their rinks at Carwinion Road, Mawnan Smith.

You can get also get involved by rolling up between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm on Saturday where you can give bowls a go. This is a free event, with the club hoping people can give lawn bowls a try at no cost.

There will also be fun games to suit all ages, great food, and drinks. Plus, a raffle, with prizes including a St. Michaels Resort Spa experience for two with lunch, afternoon tea for two courtesy of Hotel Meudon, dinner for two at Trelawne Hotel, afternoon tea for two at Greenbank Hotel, Sunday lunch for two at Budock Vean Hotel and a £20.00 gift voucher from Trago all raising funds for Cornwall's Children's Hospice South West.

The club say they welcome all ages and abilities and hope to see everyone on the 13th of May.
