Today (23rd), Jayne Kirkham, Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Penwerris, will host the first of regular covid safe drop-in sessions for residents in the area.

During the sessions, Councillor Kirkham will be able to answer about any issues in Penwerris from recycling, housing and roads.

Speaking to Nub News, Jayne also said she was "honoured" to have been elected to represent the area.

In a statement, she added:

"Firstly I want to thank the people of Falmouth Penwerris for voting for me on 6th May and I am incredibly honoured to have been elected as your Cornwall Councillor.

"It has been difficult during Covid to have face to face contact with people. But now restrictions are slightly easier I am going to start a covid-safe drop-in for Penwerris residents.

"This will be at the Lighthouse family hub on Jubilee Road every other Wednesday afternoon from 3:30pm-5pm, starting on Wednesday 23rd June.

"If you have an issue you want to talk to me about - housing, recycling, social care, roads, anything where the council could help, please do drop in and see me. I am hoping that one or two of the other town councillors can attend too."
