Yesterday evening, emergency services were called to Falmouth Harbour after a medical episode onboard a yacht.
Falmouth Coastguard, Falmouth RNLI, and Ambulance services were all tasked to the Falmouth Inner Harbour between Custom House Quay and Port Pendennis Marina.
The call came in just after 6pm with the RNLI launching at 6:25.
A casualty care trained crewmember went on board the yacht to assess the casualty.
The casualty and their partner were transferred to the Inshore Lifeboat at 18:45. They were then taken back to the lifeboat station pontoon where they were put into the care of ambulance paramedics.
The casualty had become unwell on returning to their yacht after being ashore, so their partner had requested assistance.
They were taken by ambulance to Treliske Hospital for further treatment.
