Back in March, it was announced that Kirstie Edwards was voted in as Falmouth's new mayor and would be replacing the current mayor, Steve Eva.

Kirstie has held the role of Deputy Mayor for the last two years, tonight she will become the 176th Town Mayor of Falmouth and the fourth woman to hold the role in the town's history.

Kirstie will be the first female mayor in Falmouth since Maureen Davies back in 2005, Maureen sadly passed away in January this year.

Falmouth Town Council will be live-streaming the event on their Facebook page from the Princess Pavilion at 7 pm for anyone who would like to watch.
