New cafe in Falmouth Business Park given go ahead

A new cafe has been given permission to set up in Falmouth Business Park.

Occupying a unit next door to The Gym Project, the proposal is for a small, self-contained commercial cafe, suitable for 22 covers inside (with room for around 16 external seats), as well as supplying take-away drinks for customers.

Submitted by Mr Bretell, the proposed café/takeaway will be of "modest size" but cater to the diverse mix of clients from the immediate vicinity. Including people from the gym and surrounding businesses, residential properties, and the nearby school traffic.

The appearance of the cafe will be a rustic contrast to the brick formality of the business park units, and would blend in with the stone hedge and nearby planting.

Falmouth Town Council had previously recommended approval of the plans, with conditional approval granted this week from Cornwall Council.
