Hotel Meudon near Mawnan Smith, Falmouth has scooped another top accolade, achieving Bronze 'Restaurant of the Year' for Restaurant Meudon in the 2021/22 South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
The awards were announced at a celebratory dinner held on 7 April at Sandy Park in Exeter, Devon, the first time since February 2020 that the region's tourism awards have been able to return to their face-to-face format.
Speaking about the award, Hotel Meudon General Manager, Samantha Banks said:
"This is such a great achievement, we're all super proud. We were up against very stiff competition and were thrilled to have made it through to the regional finals.
"To come away with Bronze in our first year is fantastic, congratulations to Restaurant Manager Stephen Mouser and Executive Head Chef Darren Kerley for the great job they and the rest of the team are doing."
This latest award comes hot on the heels of winning Silver at the Cornwall Tourism Awards and Gold in the Taste of the West in both the Hotel and Restaurant categories, all within the first year of operation. The awards saw 476 entries from across the region including Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and the Isles of Scilly.
