Falmouth's award-winning Young Generation returns to the stage for their 40th year with a production of The Addams Family.
A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness is all grown up and has a shocking secret that only her father Gomez knows… she's fallen in love with a sweet young girl from a normal, respectable family. If that wasn't bad enough, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife Morticia. Everything will change for The Addams Family on a fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" girlfriend and her parents. Join them, plus Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley and more for a heart-warming and kooky story of love, family and friendship… with a twist.
Taking on the roles of The Addams Family are Abi Holmes as Morticia Addams, Kieran Faithfull as Gomez Addams, Cerys Wilcox as Wednesday Addams and Indiana Dalziel as Pugsley Addams. Everyone's favourite uncle is Lewis Moyle as Uncle Fester, Ashley Halligan is taking on the role of the kooky Grandma and there is a special appearance from Christopher Saunders as Lurch. Playing the perfectly normal Lucy Beineke is Layla Hillier with Ben Kitts and Rosie Slater taking on the roles of Mal and Alice Beineke, her perfectly normal parents.
"With an energetic chorus, catchy musical numbers and much-loved characters this year's production is set to be another knock-out performance," a spokesperson from Young Generation said.
Ashley Spear returns as Director with Samantha Taylor in charge of choreography and Julia Knight-Bennett as musical director. The spooky props are being designed and created by Catherine Chevill, the deadly costumes are being put together by Vron Spear and in charge of the ghostly hair and make-up is Naomi Morant.
The show will be staged at Princess Pavilion in Falmouth from Tuesday 1st August to Saturday 6th August, doors open at 7pm with curtain up at 7:30pm. Tickets are £12 for adults and £10 for children. Tickets are available from the Princess Pavilion or online here.
It is advised you book your tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
