Cornwall Council is removing its recycling banks from 65 sites across Cornwall - including those in Falmouth.

Information on the Cornwall Council website details its plans to remove the Falmouth banks in August.

The council said:

"These recycling banks were put in place before we introduced our household recycling collections.

"Recycling is collected from every household in Cornwall every two weeks."

Swanpool Car Park and Grove Place Car Park recycling banks will be removed on 10th August.

The council have confirmed that they will not be removing banks provided by supermarkets in their car parks and those at the Household Waste and Recycling Centres.

If you have been using the recycling banks, the council have suggested that you start using the household recycling collections or visit a Household Waste and Recycling Centre.
