For Nearly 35 years the Falmouth Marine Band has been raising money from their marches at Falmouth Carnival and then dividing the money up to donate to local charities and community groups.
Last week members of the band had the pleasure of handing over the funds raised to 15 different charitable causes at the Falmouth Town Council chambers, which was hosted by Falmouth mayor Steve Eva.
The band thanked the mayor on social media for hosting the night and the rest of the town for helping them, they said: "Thank you to you the people of Falmouth and surrounding areas who have come out to support the carnival after the pandemic in the last two years.
"It was humbling to hear the stories of those groups and individuals who do so much in our community and Cornwall and the benefits the donations to these groups make to the lives of the people of Falmouth and Cornwall."
