Over 150 people took part in the recent Falmouth Community club quiz night at The Working Boat - raising £280 in donations.

The football club were picked as the pub's charity for the month. Quiz masters Mark Averiss and Arno Canale ensured a great evening of entertainment.

Prior to the quiz night, Falmouth Kestrels played their final match against parents and coaches at Bickland - which they won 7-6. Trophies were then handed out by Falmouth Town manager Andrew Westgarth.

It was a special awards evening at Falmouth Rugby Club last month for other age groups with appearances from Town players Tim Nixon, Luke Williams, James Ward, and Ryan Martt.

Awards were handed out on two separate occasions as Kestrels were in the middle of their GCSEs.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Community told Nub News: "Overall it has been a brilliant end-of-season celebration for the club. A few weeks ago we had an end-of-season celebration at Falmouth Rugby Club for 13 teams from U8 to U15. Each team had an individualised trophy, a team poster, and an iMovie celebrating their season. A few players from Falmouth town came to present their awards and offer words of advice to the players."
