Falmouth Coastguard assist to transfer seriously injured casualty in early hours

The Falmouth Coastguard was tasked in the early hours of this morning to assist in a casualty incident.

Just after 2am this morning, the team was notified to an incident at Boscawen Park, Truro.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"The team tasked to establish a helicopter landing site (HLS) for Coastguard Rescue 924, Boscawen Park, Truro.

"Team members assisted Cornwall Air Ambulance and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust Paramedics transfer a seriously injured casualty from the Ambulance to the aircraft for onward transport to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

"There are no further details from us on this incident."
