Emergency services on the scene following accident near Penryn

A heavy emergency services presence is said to be around Penryn this morning (30th) following reports of an accident.

The accident is believed to have occurred near Treluswell Roundabout (B3292) just after 8am with two vehicles involved.

Residents have reported police and fire crews on the scene.

Traffic is thought to be coping well despite the incident.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News:

"Police, fire and ambulance were called at 8:15am today [30th December] following a two-vehicle collision on the B3292 in Penryn.

"One man is trapped within one of the cars and being extracted by the fire service. Injuries unknown at this time.

"A lamppost was also damaged in the collision and has been made safe by the fire service. The road remains closed."
