It has been announced that celebrity chef, Rick Stein, will be reopening his restaurant in Falmouth for bookings from July 4th.

Rick Stein's restaurant, situated at Maritime House on Discovery Quay, has been closed due to lockdown since March 20th.

A spokesperson for Rick Stein's Fish said:

"Getting ready to re-open makes us very happy. The health, safety and well-being of our guests and teams remains our number one priority.

"We have reviewed all our procedures across each part of our business to ensure that we keep everyone safe, and we will continue to review our approach based upon UK Government guidelines and Public Health England."

This comes following the news that Rick Stein's restaurant in Porthleven and Marlborough, unfortunately, announced they would not be reopening again.

Speaking on the Falmouth closure three months ago, they previously said:

"It's so difficult to understand how within a matter of weeks, our vibrant and joyful industry is simply vanishing.

"Every day we are faced with some of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make.

"Our attention remains on how to protect the jobs of hundreds of people we still employ during these temporary closures so we can hope to welcome customers for many years to come."

Other Falmouth hospitality establishments have also announced plans for reopening.

The Working Boat, has released plans for Falmouth's "biggest covered outdoor licensed space."
