In an announcement this morning Gylly Beach Café has said it will be opening takeaway doors every day 10am till 5pm.

The takeaway service will be offering fresh bread, cakes, hot & cold drinks, food & ice creams.

The move comes after the bakery reopened at the beginning of May.

A spokesperson for Gylly Beach Cafe said:

"We truly hope everyone is keeping well. It has been a busy time for us, behind closed doors a small, well-distanced team have been busily cleaning and painting, as we eagerly wait for the full go-ahead.

"Although our café doors are not yet open we are scrupulously making sure every new rule and level of guidance will be adhered to, as we make sure everyone's safety, yours and ours, is protected.

"There is sure to be further strange times ahead, as we all get used to different ways of enjoying a meal out with friends or a catch-up coffee, but together, maybe served behind perspex screens, we will get there.

"I hope the next email we send out will start... 'Gylly is back open!'

Until then, our takeaway doors are open and we look forward to seeing you soon."
