Falmouth Town Council met this week to discuss plans ahead of a second lockdown.

Town Clerk Mark Williams spoke to Nub News about what services will be operational and what will be closing in the town.

In line with national guidelines, the Council has said it will close its community buildings and its offices from today (4th) until 2nd December 2020.

This closure will include the Falmouth Information Service, Falmouth Library and Falmouth Art Gallery.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Town Council told Nub News:

"Parks, gardens and play areas will remain open at the current operating times, this will be reviewed in line with user behaviour.

"Please observe social distancing requirements. There will be no bookings for organised sports or events.

"Public toilets will remain open with an increased disinfectant regime. Again this will be reviewed against user behaviour. Please observe the social distancing requirements.

"Falmouth Cemetery will remain open for burials, but be aware that restrictions will apply regarding attendance."

Also, the council said that remembrance events on 8th and 11th will likely need to be cancelled unless the Government exempts them.
