Penryn had to settle for a losing bonus point, but it could have been so much more as they came agonisingly close to a big away win at Bideford. Trailing 14-10 at half time, The Borough led 14-24 deep into the second half but were made to pay for not closing out the game.

Falmouth RFC carried on their impressive recent form with a third straight league victory on Saturday against Cullompton.
The 29-19 win against Cullompton has seen The Eagles climb up to 9th in the Tribute Western Counties West and further away from the relegation places.
The Eagles continued their good recent form with a second league win on the bounce against Chard on Saturday.
The victory lifts Falmouth up the Tribute Western Counties West table to ninth place and provides breathing space between them and the relegation places.

On Saturday, Falmouth RFC claimed their second home victory on the bounce as they secured a 22-5 win over Bideford in the Tribute Western Counties West.
The Eagles had been struggling of late and found themselves near the bottom of the league.
This afternoon Falmouth will welcome Bideford to the Recreation Ground in the Tribute Western Counties West division.
Last time the two teams met was back in September which Bideford won 26-12.
The family of an 87-year-old Falmouth man who died when the vehicle he was driving was involved in a collision in Bodmin on Wednesday 1 January, have paid tribute to a 'loving' man.
Norman Brian Pedlar [known as Brian] was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision on the A30 at Lanivet.
It has been announced this afternoon that Ian Morgan will step down from his Head Coach role at Penryn RFC with immediate effect.

Falmouth RFC suffered a fifth straight league defeat following a 21-0 home loss to St Austell at The Rec on Saturday.
