This afternoon Falmouth RFC make the short trip up the road to take on Truro RFC in the next round of the Cornwall Cup.

Falmouth captain Tom Spiller told Nub News:

"The atmosphere within the group is good, results may not be going our way but the boys remain upbeat. We went on a run last year of 7 defeats up to the end of November and then won 4 on the bounce so we know how competitive this league is.

"Truro are going well in Cornwall and Devon and probably favourites to come back up. They always pose a stern test for us and we will have to be at our best to compete with them today.

"I wouldn't say we are targeting a cup run but they are competitive fixtures and we want to win as many games as possible. If that takes us further in the tournament, we will be happy with that but priority is maintaining league status."

Falmouth team: A. Searle, A. Geach, D. Burroughs, A. Vincent, T. Vincent, T. Whittle, T. Spiller, P. Garway-Templeman, J. Sullivan, K. Rodda, N. Carne, J. Wood, R. Pugh, D. Hubble, M. Horton. Res: A. Bullock, O. Jones, S. Firth.

Kick off is at 2pm. St. Clement's Hill, Truro TR1 1NY.
