Falmouth Town will be hoping to continue their fine end-of-season form when they visit Sherborne Town in the Western League on Saturday (kick-off at 3 pm).

Andrew Westgarth's side are enjoying another fine run of form as their first Western League campaign since 1982/83 begins to wind down, having won five and lost just one of their last seven games.

Town continue to find themselves in eighth position in the league, and victory on Saturday would guarantee a top-ten finish with three games still to play.

In another quirk of the Western League fixture list, Sherborne will visit Bickland Park for the reverse fixture next Saturday.

Opposition view

Sherborne are enjoying their first season back in the Western League Premier Division since the Dorset outfit won the Division One title last season, ending a run of five consecutive years out of the Western League's top flight.

The newly-promoted side have endured a challenging second half of the season and have won just once since January 2, with the Zebras recording just one win in their 12 league matches since then. The Somerset side sit third from bottom with 24 points from their 32 matches.

Sherborne have scored 44 goals in all competitions this season, with Alex Murphy leading the way with ten strikes in 32 games, while Henry Lawrence-Napier is next on the list with six goals this term.
