Penryn Rugby Club is set to return to league action this weekend with the 1st team and the Colts playing at home.

The Borough will kick off their campaign tomorrow (Saturday 2 September) with a match against Tiverton (3 pm KO) at The Memorial Ground.

Penryn had a solid season last year with a seventh-place finish with 56 points. It is expected to be a tough match as their opponents from Devon finished in fifth place with a points total of 69.

Penryn's Director of rugby, Marek Churcher, was looking forward to getting started. He said: "Really excited to see how far we have come since the end of last season. We have added some new faces and made some positional changes to our young squad so we can't wait to see them go out and express themselves."

You can find the rest of Penryn's fixtures for September, which includes the local derby, below:

  • Sat 9 Sep 2023 - Bideford vs Penryn
  • Sat 16 Sep 2023 - Penryn vs Bude
  • Sat 23 Sep 2023 - Penryn vs Falmouth
  • Sat 30 Sep 2023 - Kingsbridge vs Penryn

If you fancy a full day of rugby you can catch the Colts in action, before the 1st team gets their league campaign underway, with a 12 p.m. KO at the same ground.

This Sunday the club will also be hosting its youth registration day from 11-3. Food and drink will be available as well as a bouncy castle.
