Penryn College's cricket teams made March a month to remember after securing two County Indoor Tournament titles in as many weeks at the Cornwall Cricket Centre.

After a number of fantastic performances, the school's U14 Girl's side and U12 Boy's side both finished with 100% winning records in the five-team, one-day tournaments.

Competing against students a school year above them, the U14 side defeated Penrice Academy, Launceston College, Richard Lander School, and Mounts Bay Academy - scoring a remarkable 103 runs in just six overs in one match.

And the U12 team achieved the same feat, defeating Truro School, Mounts Bay Academy, Launceston College, and Brannel School on the way to lifting the tournament trophy.

As an extra reward for their efforts, the U14 players will take part in this month's Regional Indoor Tournament at Bristol UWE Centre for Sport, where they will face some of the strongest sides in the west of England.

Speaking after both competitions, Penryn College PE Teacher, Mr. Bidgood, said: "All of our cricket teams have been working really hard in training, and these tournament victories and performances are a testament to that hard work.

"A big well done to not only these two sides but all of our cricket teams for their fantastic performances and efforts in tournaments and training."
