Tomorrow (Saturday 18th February) sees the Eagles host the Borough in another meeting of the oldest derby in Cornwall, kick-off at 2:30 pm at The Recreation Ground in Falmouth.
The last time the two sides met was at the traditional boxing day clash but the last official league meeting was back on the 12th of November 2022 when Penryn came out on top with a 45 - 5 victory at The Memorial Ground in Penryn.
Current Tribute Western Counties West Table:
It's been a tough season for Falmouth having lost all 17 of their fixtures this season while Penryn find themselves in 8th place but only 4 points behind Bideford in 5th who have played one game less.
Recent Results - Falmouth:
Either side of two difficult defeats for Falmouth was a competitive match against Kingsbridge who sit above their rivals Penryn in the table having played fewer games.
Could this be a sign of encouragement going into the derby?

28th January 2023 - Falmouth 24 - 41 Kingsbridge
21st January 2023 - Falmouth 0 - 87 Cullompton
Recent Results - Penryn:
Penryn has also lost their last three matches but showed huge fight in a close match against the Pirates Amateurs who are third in the league.
If they put in a similar performance they could have too much for their rivals.

4th February 2023 - Kingsbridge 31 - 12 Penryn

Josh Lord Falmouth's head coach reflected back on the season so far ahead of the big match, he said: "Our guys are really looking forward to the game on Saturday, obviously, it's been a difficult season for all involved.
"I wish I could have unlocked the player's potential better as they are certainly more able than our league position suggests. Saturday represents an opportunity to show people what could have been this season and put in an 80-minute performance."
The Eagles head coach also commented on the fact that this Saturday was the club's Sponsors day which means that the companies, who have so generously supported the club this season, will be being shown some hospitality by the club.
Josh said: "I hope it is an entertaining day for them. There are challenging times ahead for Falmouth RFC and what is a fantastic rugby club, needs the communities' support more than ever in the coming year."

Penryn's Director of Rugby Marek Churcher was hoping to see an exciting match with a big change in the starting lineup for the Borough, Marek said: "We are all looking forward to the last local derby of this season. As with all local derbys form can go out of the window pretty fast so we know we have to be on our game against Falmouth.
"These experiences are great for our youngsters and so try nearly 9 players under the age of 20, It's a great opportunity to showcase their talent and ability."
