Weather warning issued for Falmouth

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for Falmouth, starting at 12 o'clock today.

Persistent rain is expected to hit the area this afternoon and continue until Saturday.

The Met Office has provided details on what to expect:

- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.

- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.

Although rain is expected to continue throughout much of Saturday there will be drier spells in the evening and lighter winds.

More rain is forecast for Sunday.
