The Games Room, Falmouth, has announced its closure following the outbreak of coronavirus.

Following a string of closures across Falmouth, The Games Room released a statement on their social media yesterday evening during their final night of opening.

Kathy St Quintin, the general manager, of Games Room, told Nub News:

"It's extremely heartbreaking, but we are doing what is best for our staff.

"We love all of our staff and care about them so much."

The statement on Facebook said:

"The Games Room is very sad to announce we are now closed. We have taken into consideration all advice given and it is the right thing to do.

"Our main concern is for our staff and customers to remain safe. We have done everything we can to ensure this is the case, but now feel closure is the correct route to go down.

"We also wish to give our GREAT staff the opportunity to go home, and with most living in all areas of the country and abroad, closing now gives them that chance.

"We want to say THANK you to all our great customers and suppliers for all your support during this time, and of course the biggest thank you goes to the amazing team we employ who have gone above and beyond to ensure the highest levels of operations have been met.

"We cannot thank you enough."
